This is the final part of my three-part blog posts to do with skincare. There are only two products I am talking about here as this is something that I don’t really like mixing up purely because I know what already works well for me on this front. Both items are drugstore and good value for money. If you haven’t seen my other posts find part one here and part two here.
I’m really glad that I wrote this little trilogy because it really made me review what is actually working on my skin and what I am using just to use or just because I like the scent which is pretty silly when you think about it!
The first one I am going to talk about is one I actually can’t talk about enough because I simply love it. When my skin was awful from my illnesses and really dragging me down I started using this and my weird dry patches over my cheeks, nose and neck visibly cleared up in under 2 weeks which is amazing considering I had tried every prescription cream going and the pharmacy had really run out of answers. What cream is this you ask? It’s the No7 Beautiful Skin Day Cream for Normal/Dry skin.
I have spoken about this before but not for a while and this has got to be my one item that if I was stuck on an island I would take! It is quite a thick day cream but I think this is really good for my skin because it keeps it moisturised all day long without me having to worry about getting dreaded dry flaky skin by lunch time. I use this every morning and put it all over my face including my under eyes and neck and it always works lovely. What I love about No7 too is that they are always on 3 for 2.
The next one I have been really making an effort to use is the Vitamin E Nourishing Night Cream that I picked up with the hot cleanser from the same range. The reason I say making an effort is because I don’t normally have overly sensitive skin and I usually love Superdrug own brand items but I came out in the worst rash ever after using the hot cloth cleanser which I am so gutted about and it made be really dubious to use the night cream as well but so far all is well.
If you haven’t tried anything from this range before the only way I can describe the beautiful scent of this is like summer. It’s got a very strong coconut smell which I normally don’t like but in the evening I have been really massaging this into my skin after cleansing. This isn’t actually my favourite night cream but I ran out of my No7 one and I bought this and it’s ok so I don’t want to waste it just for the sake of it.
As with a lot of skincare creams you really only need the smallest amount and as it’s the same with this one because it’s quite watery especially compared to the No7 one I am used to but it does absorb quite nicely and leaves my face feeling nicely refreshed.
Have you come across any moiturisers that have changed your skincare routine? I would be really interested because I feel like it would be hard to convince me to move away from No7 ones!
